The case
A Brisbane woman who crashed a car into her husband and another woman after catching the pair kissing has been given a suspended sentence after pleading guilty to a downgraded charge.
During a trial, the Brisbane District Court heard the 38-year-old drove her SUV into David Larkin and Zowie Noring in Wavell Heights in March 2021.
The trial heard Kennedy drove into a suburban street looking for Mr Larkin and discovered him kissing an acquaintance of the couple, Zowie Noring, near the side of the road. Her SUV then slammed into them, and after the crash, Kennedy launched a physical attack on Ms Noring, punching her several times in the head.
The pair suffered several minor injuries, including abrasions and bruises, and Mr Larkin required surgery for a dislocated finger. After acquitting Kennedy on the first set of charges, the jury was given the option to convict her on two alternative offences of assault occasioning bodily harm while armed, but was unable to reach a verdict.
The "patriarchy" myth
Feminists claim that there is gender inequality in Australia because the so-called "Patriarchy" controls all the power. The evidence offered for this is that most CEOs and politicians are men. It's obvious to all honest, hardworking men that this isn't true.
If you want to work your way up to being a CEO or a politician, you can — but it's a lot of hard work over many decades to gradually ascend above everyone else into those positions. Once there, men don't wield the arbitrary power that feminists assert. Men in leadership face increased scrutiny, responsibility, accountability and consequences.
Where men are actually powerless
Men are relatively powerless compared to women when it comes to abuse. Men can be abused and we can't do anything about it. Feminists have rewritten the laws so that any woman can commit abuse against any man for any reason and face no consequences for her behaviour.
Perhaps this is actually why women don't feel equal to men — they are not equal. Every Australian woman knows that, because of the dominance of feminism, she can indulge the impulses of her emotions and will not face the same repercussions as the men around her.
If women want to feel equal to men, or actually objectively become equal with men, then they will need to start accepting the same consequences when it comes to domestic violence.
The evidence contradicts the claim
The feminist claim is that feminism is about "the equality of the sexes". If that were true, there should be at least some evidence of it. There isn't.
Look around: feminists are creating laws to secure 50% representation on boards, in political positions, and in preferential employment. Yet:
- The prison population is still 90%+ male.
- The homeless population is still 90%+ male.
- Workplace deaths are still 90%+ male.
- Every two days, an Australian man doesn't come home from work.
- Men die younger than women.
The patriarchy doesn't exist. It is a feminist deception used to gather more power for feminists. Throughout history, in every culture, men have sacrificed to provide for and protect women. Men in power support women more than they support men. When feminists get into power, they do more to preference women and disregard men altogether.
The cost of the double standard
Feminists are actively working toward a world of horrific inequality that results in the unnecessary harm and deaths of men. It doesn't just harm men. This philosophy means that women — who could become equally responsible and mature members of society — aren't treated with the respect, accountability, responsibility and consequences that allow women to mature.
It's disrespectful to all Australian women to allow any woman to stalk a man illegally, track him down, run him over and continue to bash his new female partner, as Christie Kennedy did. This communicates that women are not equal to men, and are not responsible for their behaviour.
One standard for all
If we respect women as equals and we believe in equality, then there needs to be one standard, one set of laws and one set of consequences for anyone who chooses to engage in domestic violence.
